Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee”

It will indeed be a Merry Christmas for fans of Bruce Lee and Kobe Bryant. This is all because of the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee” sneaker which is set to initially drop on December 25th, as a plain Kobe V sneaker and beginning 2010, in the Nike constructed color-up starting with Bruce Lee.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee” sneaker is a clear indication of Kobe’s affinity with Kung Fu. The sneaker comes in a yellow upper, particularly on the perforated toe box and the side panels. It also sports yellow shoe laces. The use of yellow is actually an allusion to the yellow bodysuit which Bruce Lee wore in “The Game of Death”, which is also a favorite Lakers color.

All the other parts of the sneaker come in grey especially the lace base and some portion of the heel. The lateral toe area of the sneaker sports four red scratch marks, which is a duplication of the scratches Bruce Lee got in Enter the Dragon. You also get a grey swoosh with white outline.

Movie fans might mistake the yellow color of the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Bruce Lee” sneaker for the “Kill Bill” movie of Uma Thurman, but don’t be misled because this is a sneaker inspired by no less than Bruce Lee.
