Paint Mexico red with this Dunk Hi that is actually inspired by the legendary boxing match between Julio Cesar Chavez and Oscar De La Hoya way back 1996.
As a tribute, each shoe features both their names embroidered at the heels, having Chavez on the left and De La Hoya on the right. The entire shoe is of bloody red elephant print upper, with an “Ultimate Glory” woven tag on the tongue.
Its red color-way recalls the bloody Chavez during the historical event in the boxing industry as De La Hoya cut his eye on the first round, that lead to stopping the fight at fourth round.
These sneakers are a Mexico exclusive with only 606 limited edition pairs to release. A pre-sale will begin on the 26th of September, while the official release will be on the 3rd of October. There are also rumors that signed versions of this Nike “Ultimate Glory” Dunk Hi will be offered on the release day.
