Converse is currently working on a project with PRODUCT (RED) who both aims to show how creativity can change the world. The said project, named 1HUND(RED), gathers artists all over the world to celebrate the artistic spirit and help reduce or if possible, totally get rid of AIDS in Africa.
They were given a design kit with a blank Chuck Taylor shoe which they can use as canvass for whatever design they could think of. After they do the design, they return it to Converse to begin in developing what they have just done.
One of the artists is Wood Wood, who is also known as Artist26 for the whole inspiring project. He made use of purple premium suede leather upper with monochromatic matching laces and rubber soles.
Each of the tongue holds the name “Wood” in a white fabric and perforations detail are also present which somewhat bears a hidden constellation pattern. And to give a little contrast to the purple is the red eyelet on the ankle part.
Converse will be releasing each artist’s design over the next 12 months, so expect to see more of the 1HUND(RED) sneakers.
