The Converse Chuck Taylor Fall/Winter 2009 collection was quite a revelation with so many additions to the lineup. Here yet is another striking addition in the guise of the Converse Chuck Taylor Hi Strap which looks regale enough and fit for a king.

The double-ankle strap in gold is a nice touch and is a nice tweak to the classic Chuck Taylor design. It may be the show manufacturer’s take on the popular Gladiators shoes considering that ankle strap are heating up the runways and the roadways.

It’s good that the basic black color has been retained so as not to clash with the gold ankle straps. However, there are other colorways for the next season’s releases like the subtle white piece if you do not want the flashier black and metallic gold colorway.

The Chuck Taylor may be a timeless piece of footwear but its makers make sure that the shoes gets some makeover now and then so it does not get left behind by new fashion trends. The ankle straps per se provide that bit of flair to an otherwise traditional pair of sneakers that may prove boring for the fashion plate.
