Converse has created another classic Chuck Taylor included in their 100 years anniversary collection with the help of an illustrator named Dennis Juan Ma.

This Chuck Taylor served as the canvas for Dennis Ma to show his origin which is New Zealand. He designed the upper portraying the way of life that you can find in his country. Aside from that, this sneaker is also intended for the Global Fund Charity Campaign which is shown by the red top eyelet. Although the Olympic season has ended few months ago, we could probably say that it has opened our eyes to a vast collection of new shoes that our favorite basketball players used.

Dwayne Wade also has one from Converse, which is the 4th Edition of Converse Wade collection. While he only used them on the pre-game warm-ups in Beijing, all eyes most especially of the sneaker heads’ were drawn to them.

Converse is currently working on a project with PRODUCT (RED) who both aims to show how creativity can change the world. The said project, named 1HUND(RED), gathers artists all over the world to celebrate the artistic spirit and help reduce or if possible, totally get rid of AIDS in Africa.

They were given a design kit with a blank Chuck Taylor shoe which they can use as canvass for whatever design they could think of. After they do the design, they return it to Converse to begin in developing what they have just done.

As Converse gets busy in launching a series of collection in line with the celebration of their 100 years in the industry, they still manage to create new designs and styles for their other projects.

Just recently we’ve featured the Puma Teddy-inspired sneaker. This time, Converse is does the teddy bear look in their Converse All Star Hi Mocomoco Pack.

Although this looks rather more accepted than that of Puma with regards to their color of wheat and black suede, I’m still not sure if using those cuddly exterior would be a great idea, not unless if you’re only thinking of strutting these shoes at the streets.
